Steering high-performance growth

Cuustomer

Going to market in 3 months

A successful services company serving major brands, Bridgewater decided to tackle a new challenge by launching a product startup, Cuustomer, a B2B web platform that helps professionals easily manage their supplier portfolio and make the best purchasing decisions.

Cuustomer hired us to help them accomplish an ambitious objective: build anĀ MVP for a go-to-market in 3 months only. At the end of these 3 months, there was also a very important deadline that they couldn't afford to miss: theĀ Digital First show, biggest startup event in the country. To add to that, theĀ team consisted in only 3 trainee developers that had just completed a 6-monthĀ  web development training at BeCode. A big challenge we were very excited to overcome!

We started by designing and assembling a high-productivity web stack using React.js, Node.js and GraphQL, and as we anticipated that the strict budget and time constraints wouldnā€™t allow for a full custom development, we selected several best-in-class third party providers to allow the team to focus on building features without worrying about infrastructure, such as Auth0, Contentful and Heroku. We then provided the necessary technical advice throughout the duration of the project to ensure that it stayed on track for success.

The mission was a complete success as Cuustomer was able to build and launch its web platform in 3 months only, perfectly within their time and budget constraints.

Florent HainautFlorent HainautCEO, Cuustomer

"On average, 61% of projects within companies will never reach completion. Of course the objective is important, but so is the road to get there. It is Urge2code's strength to be able to bring projects to the desired objective on time, on budget and on quality. Well done!"

Kapsch

Becoming a web company

Kapsch is one of the world leaders in Intelligent Transportation Systems. They requested our services to help them strenghten their market position. A major opportunity we identified was the transformation towards a web company.

We implemented this transformation by assembling a team consisting of highly skilled and passionate developers and by designing a state-of-the-art React.js web stack. Combined, these two factors enabled Kapsch to ship a new application to production in less than 6 months for a large US public transport company, laying out the future technical strategy of the company along the way.

Our work didnā€™t stop there as we contributed to improve the communication and collaboration between developers, testers, analysts, UX team, the customer and the management team by implementing the right processes and tools and by providing the appropriate guidance during the ramp-up period.

As a consequence, these significant impacts on their R&D department have enabled a higher performance and competitiveness of the organization.

"Urge2code helped Kapsch increase its competitiveness and performance by designing a state-of-the-art web stack and by assembling a high performance team, which allowed us to ship a new product for a major US customer. Highly recommended!"

idloom

Unlocking growth: shipping 3 new apps in 6 months

Idloom, a rapidly scaling force in SaaS event management solutions, faced the challenge of technical debt in its front-end codebases. Maintenance became a cumbersome task, diverting resources from innovation and compromising the company's agility in responding to the rapid scale-up and evolving market demands.

The key to overcoming the technical debt at idloom lay in transitioning from the outdated jQuery framework to Vue.js, a modern and efficient JavaScript framework. Alongside this transition, we implemented a comprehensive UI components library to enable the rapid kick-start of new projects. As the final element of our strategy, we advised idloom to enhance their development process for higher productivity and quality.

This strategic shift not only resolved the immediate technical debt issues but also set the stage for a more agile and scalable development process. With the new foundation in place, idloom was able to accelerate its development pace and, remarkably, launched three new applications within just six months. This achievement was particularly noteworthy given that the front-end development team comprised just three individuals.

The streamlined development process enabled idloom to not only catch up with market demands but also stay ahead, fostering a culture of innovation and responsiveness

"Our partnership with Urge2code was a game-changer. Their strategic approach to tech stack modernization, team upskilling and development process improvements propelled us to launch three new apps in record time, showcasing their expertise and commitment to our growth."
